ABOUT US
"A family business, caring for our world, is our world."
OUR STORY
We bought the 162 acre arable farm 9 years ago in Shropshire and had a vision to turn around the farm into a successful enterprise. We have both become very passionate about wine and good quality wine after travelling much of Europe and the vineyards it is home to, particularly Italy and France. After making some good friends with top wineries we decided it was time to grow and produce our own very good quality rather than quantity wine.

Our other passion is in sustainability and looking after our planet therefore, after producing renewable energy for the last 8 years our aim is to produce a carbon sequestration vineyard.
"In the heart of Shropshire. Our vision has turned into our reality."
Katie Greenow
Katie completed a Business Management and Entrepreneurship Degree at Stafford University and has since run two businesses. After meeting Robert and buying the farm together, Katie became more involved in the agricultural way of life and runs a large horse business on the farm.
Katie's biggest love is her daughter Florence who loves the vineyard, grape tasting while walking the dogs and all things horses. After travelling with the family Katie began a love of wine from tasting quality reds to rose and whites a like, in Europe from some of the best producers.
Katie is WSET Level 2 and at the forefront of communications of Veenow. Usually time is spent looking after Florence and walking the two dogs, horse riding and in the office. During shows, launches, tours and promotional times, Katie is the face you will see and meet to discover the Veenow wines.
"Since 2021 we have planted Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Cabernet Noir, Chardonnay and Meurnier."
Robert Greenow
After completing an Agriculture and Business Degree at Reading University, Robert has successfully owned and ran 3 Anaerobic digesters and bought a 162 acre farm with Katie in Shropshire. Robert has always been strong minded and knew he wanted to be involved in agriculture, but he has now taken to viticulture too which is far more enjoyable, sustainable and a family lifestyle business involving Florence too.

Robert you will find mainly in the vineyard, either driving a tractor, walking the vines or tending to them by hand.
His interests are in the terroir and the viticulture. He enjoys growing the vines to the best of his ability to ensure the most flavoursome, juicy grapes ready for wine making.
